Michael Ray O’Neal

Michael Ray O‘Neal, age 42, died Friday October 8, 2010 in a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 on Sunday, October 10, at Oates Baptist Church with interment in Berea Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born January 22, 1968 in Darlington County, he is the son of Matthew O‘Neal of the Oates Community and Dorothy Windham O‘Neal of Hartsville. Michael drove trucks for a living and enjoyed fishing when he was able. Michael‘s real love was picking on and giving his two sisters a hard time. Mr. O‘Neal was a member of Oates Baptist Church. Surviving in additions to his parents are his wife, Kim O‘Neal, a daughter, Heather (Buck) Privette of Wallace, a granddaughter, Kaylen Elizabeth Privette, step-son, Jack Suggs of Hartsville, a step-grandson, Braden Suggs of Florence, two sisters: Mary Ann (Chuck) Tyner of Kellytown, Jackie (Tom) Amerson of Hartsville, step-sisters: Lucy Eaddy of Chesterfield, and Ginger of Florence; two step-brothers: Paul Hutchinson of Columbia and Randy (Mary) Hutchinson. Also, surviving are his step-mother, Joyce O‘Neal and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at Belk Funeral Home in Darlington and other times at his mothers‘, 910 East Carolina Ave, Hartsville.
