Rev. Andy Maness

Rev. Andy Brackman Maness of Laurel Hill, passed into his eternal home on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the age of 44. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the South Laurinburg Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bill Jones, Rev. Horace Oxendine, Rev. Don Knight and Rev. Trevor Foster. Burial will follow the service in Lancaster Memorial Park, Lancaster, SC. Rev. Maness was born January 13, 1966 in Moore County, North Carolina, son of Darlene Moore Maness Cockman and the late Ernest B. Maness, Jr. He served the Lord faithfully as the Pastor for the South Laurinburg Baptist Church, Pee Dee Baptist Church and the Cross Road Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his Christian work and as a loving and devoted husband and son. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest B. Maness III. Andy is survived by his wife, Susan Williams Maness of the home; his mother, Darlene M. Cockman of Carthage, NC; brother, Jerry Lee Maness and wife Melissa of Carthage, NC; father and mother-in-law, James Randolph Williams and Nancy K. Williams of Lancaster, SC; sister-in-law, Miriam “Beth” Holmes of Cornelius, NC; nephews, Justin and Joshua Maness and his niece, Hannah Maness. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the South Laurinburg Baptist Church.
