Helen Sellers

Mrs. Helen Burdell Sellers of Laurinburg passed into her eternal home on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the age of 81. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park. Rev. Quinton Covington, Rev. Bobby Dean, Rev. Don Malpass and Rev. Opie Swails will be officiating the service. Mrs. Sellers was born September 19, 1929 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Jesse William “Jay” Burdell and Daisy Gibson Burdell. She was the beloved wife of the late Melvin Sellers. She was a devoted homemaker, a talented beautician and also the owner and operator of the “Fashion Bar” formerly of Laurinburg. She served as a longtime faithful member of Central United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Home. Helen will be remembered as a precious and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Clark Surviving are her children, sons, Ronnie Sellers and wife Jean of Gibson, Mitchell Sellers and wife Vivian of Ocean Isle Beach; her daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Tyner and husband Rusty of Laurel Hill; a brother, Billy Burdell and wife Ava of Aiken, SC; sister, Shirley Royals and husband Dan of Laurinburg; nine grandchildren eighteen great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
