Charles Gordon Wiggs

Charles Gordon Wiggs, III. 77 of Pinehurst, NC passed Saturday October 2, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Wiggs was born November 7, 1932 to the late Charles Gordon Wiggs, II. and Alma Grindstaff Wiggs in Durham, NC. A Memorial service will be held 1:30PM Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Southern Pines. Mr. Wiggs Attended UNC Chapel Hill graduating in 1954. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked as Director of Product Marketing for the Bottle Beverage Division for the Lipton Tea Corporation retiring in 1991 to Pinehurst where he continued to work part time as a Consultant. The many golf courses of the Pinehurst area offered Mr. Wiggs a home for his passion, which he pursued since his high school years. He is survived by his wife of four years Judith Wiggs of Pinehurst. Sons, Charles G. Wiggs, IV. And fiancé Nancy Dennison of Alpharetta, GA,.,Ryan Charles Wiggs and wife Shelly of Lakeview, NC,. Step-son, Dwayne Walls, Jr. and wife Mary Elizabeth of Pittsboro, NC,. Daughters, Cynthia Ann Wiggs and husband Ruben Barry Johnson of Raleigh, NC,. Linda Sue Wiggs of Asheville, NC,. Alicia Renea Mack and husband Charlie of Fayetteville, NC,. Step-daughter, Helen Elizabeth Walls of Pittsboro, NC,. A sister, Alma Hall and husband Charles Hall, Jr. of Troutville, VA,. Grandchildren, Derek C. Wiggs, Morgan Ann Wiggs, Michelle Elizabeth Wiggs, Patrick Greer Wiggs, and Karlee Renee Mack Mr. Wiggs was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Patrick Gordon Wiggs. A visitation will be held 6 to 8PM Monday October 4, 2010 at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst Boles Funeral Home of Pinehurst is serving the family.
