CHARLOTTE, N.C. — LaMelo Ball knows just how to get acquainted with his new city. “Last night I had some Cook Out,” Ball said, “that was cool, the whole state seems like a vibe.” As for what to order from the large menu, Ball is still figuring that out, “I had a chicken sandwich, with the secret sauce and some fries, cajun fries were good though.”
Charlotte hopes that Ball can get acclimated to the city and team very fast. Training camp begins December 1 so it’s a very quick turnaround for Ball, Vernon Carey Jr. and the two other draft picks.
“I’m anxious and ready to start and get to work,” Carey said.
