The American Cancer Society, Barefoot Landing and the Flying Fish Public Market & Grill invite you to “FLOCK THIS WAY”. They plan on putting this October in the Pink! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Barefoot Landing has made plans to “PINK OUT”!

The festivities begin on October 5 as Barefoot Landing merchants show their pink. Many businesses will be displaying their support by offering specials and of course PINK will be everywhere!

October 6 -October 12, PINK YOUR FLAMINGO art, created by local artists (and amateurs) will be on display at Flying Fish. All patrons are invited to preview the “flock” and “Celebrity Judging” will be held at the Flying Fish on Oct.13 to determine the winner. All flamingos will then be available for donation at a live auction following the 3rd Annual FLOCK WALK.

Make sure to “Flock” to Barefoot, Oct. 13th, for its second annual “FLOCK WALK”. The walk is to demonstrate our commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness and to finding the Cure. Registration will begin at 9:00am and the walk will begin at 10:00am. Early registration will begin on Sept. 1: Adults $20 and $10 for children 12 and under. Registration the day of event will be $25 for adults and $15 for children. Beginning Sept. 1, you may register by going to the Barefoot Landing office (M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm) or by calling the American Cancer Society office at 843-213-0333 (M-F, 8am-5pm) or by registering online as an individual at . Registration will include a free “Flock Walk 2012” t-shirt (day of event) while supplies last. The walk will begin and end at the Flying Fish Public Market & Grill. On your return to the Flying Fish, there will be a “Flock Party” and it will be immediately followed by the “Pink Your Flamingo” celebrity judging and live auction. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Research and the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of North Myrtle Beach/Little River.
