May 14, 2012, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Legends in Concert® Myrtle Beach officials announced the summer lineup for the leading tribute artist show today.
The new set of tribute artists—who will perform from now through September 2nd —will portray Elvis, Steven Tyler, Dolly Parton, Stevie Wonder, and Britney Spears.
Stephen Freeman, winner of the 2012 Elvis Cruise Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest preliminary, recently debuted at Legends in Concert Myrtle Beach portraying Elvis Presley. Freeman, hailing from Winston-Salem, NC, brings his tribute to the King of Rock N Roll through June 2nd. Victor Trevino, Jr., recent winner of the Las Vegas Ultimate Elvis preliminary on Freemont St., takes Freeman’s place on June 4th in a triumphant return to the Myrtle Beach stage for a show-stopping summer run.
Local talent, Karen Donaldson, offers up her breathtaking rendition of the Dolly Parton for the summer. Donaldson recently performed all of Dolly’s hits and some special surprises for Legends in Atlantic City, NJ. This will be Karen’s first appearance along the Grand Strand. Chris Van Dahl, former lead singer of the L.A. Guns, brings the swagger of Steven Tyler to the Myrtle Beach stage this summer. Van Dahl bears an uncanny resemblance to the Aerosmith singer. He will cover all of Aerosmith’s greatest hits in a set that is sure to please any hard rock enthusiast.
Stevie Wonder tribute, Bobby Brooks, also joins the summer line-up as a seasoned Legends performer. Fans can expect all of Stevie’s hits including “I Just Called to Say I Love You”, “My Cherie Amour,” and many more. Rounding out the summer line-up is Katie Murdock as Britney Spears. Legends’ guests will be guaranteed a super-charged, high-energy set from the Spears tribute nightly.
