Myrtle Beach's very own Palmetto State Rollergirls take to the track for their first bout and home opener of the 2012 season, this Saturday, March 3, in North Myrtle Beach.
Palmetto State Rollergirls (or PSRG) are Myrtle Beach's "derby little secret," but these skating ladies are no strangers to the Grand Strand, as they have been skating throughout Horry County (and visiting other parts of the Southeastern U.S.) since 2006. This is PSRG's first home bout as a team since appearing in the 2011 South Carolina State Championships, where they fought hard against two tough teams from Columbia.
Roller derby is a family-friendly event, and kids of all ages are encouraged to attend! Tickets are just $10 in advance, which gets you a few hours of amazing athletic entertainment. Also, because the bout starts at 2 p.m., that leaves plenty of time to grab dinner after the bout, and still have the evening out on the town!
