Screen Time and Sleep

The more TV your kids watch, the less they sleep.
Researchers in New Zealand analyzed data from more than 2-thousand kids between the ages of 5 and 18. They were asked to report on their activities during the 90 minutes just prior to bed. The questions ranged from their eating habits to screen time...both TV and computer.
For all participants, television watching dominated the so-called pre-sleep period, with TV accounting for about 30 minutes or one-third of that important time period.
The data also showed that the more TV time a child logged, the later he went to sleep.
The study authors conclude that unplugging a little earlier will bring on a better night's rest.
